While I am not a teacher by profession, I have successfully tutored a variety of leraners in a variety of subjects, primarily math, english, science. I enjoy working with people and helping them learn in ways that reach them and help them gain understanding and ultimately success. I am the mother of 3 children, two with college degrees and one currently in college. I was very involved throughout my children's school years, volunteering in the classroom, tutoring, etc. I have also tutored privately since my children left school. have taught grades k-12 on an emergency basis. may be in one day for fourth grade helping with their studies and the next day be in for high school physics where I basically assign paperwork or might give a test. I am an upcoming May 2006 graduate from Allegheny College, majoring in English. Given my background at a small, liberal arts college and being a former biochemistry major, I have a great understanding of language arts, math and science. I have completed a 60 page research project as well completed numerous written projects throughout my college career, that have undoubtedly strengthened my writing skills.
