I describe my teaching style as student-oriented. I focus heavily on each particular student's unique learning requirements. It is my opinion that every student learns in a different capacity and teachers must spend more time with each individual student, accommodating the lesson plans to fit the student’s needs.
In addition to owning my own accounting business and having a Bachelor's of Science degree in Business Management as well as a second Bachelor's of Science degree in Accounting, my experience includes working in corporate, public, and government accounting for the past eight years. My tutoring experience started my sophmore year of college, as I was attending EMU. It started in the classroom, helping out classmates, etc. From that moment, people started to ask me for a help on a daily basis. That is when study groups were created, where I would either tutor a group of people or one individual at a time on weekends. I am still tutoring some middle and high schoolers in math and science. I also tutor now college students in Spanish and French.
I can't really say I have a style since I believe in adapting to the student(s) in front of me. Everybody is unique, so I must use different techniques to convey the same message to different students.
