A Little Bit About Me...

My teaching style includes using the strengths of the interests of the child in teaching. To aid my child to read, I used his favorite card game (Yugioh) to aid him. I am hands on while teaching. I make sure that the learning is not boring. I will use card games to aid in addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division. I use a combination of words plus visuals to aid the learner. I will write down the formulas or work out a problem for the student so that the example can be followed on other problems. I use acronyms for teaching as well. I also use these aids to help with memorization of facts.

A Little Bit About Me...

During my master's studies I was asked to share my research in International Relations in Little Rock, St. Louis, Dallas, Waco, New Orleans, and Honolulu. Upon receiving my master's degree from Arkansas State University, I received a position as an adjunct instructor in the political science department for Paragould. I speak professional level French in which I am pursuing a second bachelor's degree in and I also speak conversational spanish which I continue to study at the collegiate level.

My teaching style involves the student not only in the curriculum but also in the world around them. I enjoy helping students to relate what they have learned to outside the classroom. For example when teaching about a significant event in history, I challenge the student to think about how they would have thought about it in the past and how they can relate it to current events.
