Shortly after receiving my degrees, I started my own child care center in New York, and directly operated it for 10 years. In 1989, I worked at Lutheran Medical Center as Director of Community Programs. In this role, I opened and operated an infant/toddler center, as well as a Family Literacy program. In 1999, I moved to Florida, where my work in education continued. I became Training Coordinator for DCF and an adjunct professor of Education at both FGCU and Edison College.
