A Little Bit About Me...

Improving the lives of children has always been a passion of mine. While my academic background has had a focus, primarily, in the social work realm, my overall philosophy for working with youth emphasizes patience and education. I have sought opportunities working with both young children and adolescents. My interest began when I tutored elementary age children during my high school career. Since then, my experiences range from being a school social worker, to teaching anger management group therapy to adolescents, to encouraging education among the youth in my community. I believe that questions are more powerful teaching tools than simply delivering answers. I do not wish to teach my students WHAT to think; my goal is to help students learn HOW to think, and to develop a pssion for learning which extends well beyond their formal schooling.

As an MBA Finance and CFA Level 2 candidate, I am well qualified to teach college and university students the subjects - Finance, Accounting, Statistics, GMAT & GRE. I have tutored MBA students as a Graduate Teaching Assistant (TA). I've taught first-year MBA students in the Class of 2011 understand finance, accounting and statistics.
