I have recently completed a Master of Arts in Teaching, where I concentrated on secondary biology. I have a Bachelor of Arts in biological anthropology with a minor in biology. My educational background enabled me to have a strong background in biology, but also in mathematics and all sciences including chemistry. I have worked as an informal environmental educator for about 2 years. This experience includes working in a state park and well known museum in Philadelphia. My diverse educational experiences provide me with necessary skills to adapt to the needs of any learner. I am also a tutor for students in kindergarten through sixth grade.

I would say that my teaching style is very interactive. Anyone can give instructions but I love feedback from a one on one situation as well as a group environment. I base alot of my instruction on analogies; when a person can relate an experience or another word to a term being tought, their understanding is broadened and 99% of the time embedded in the longterm memory. That to me is not only developing the ability to draw on a built up knowledge base, but also broadens ones ability to convey what has been learned.
