I taught high school English for three years. My students ranged from far below basic to advanced. My students consistently showed improvement in their standardized test scores and over 95% of my students passed the course. Also, Over 95% of my sophomore passed the CAHSEE. In addition to my high school experience, I have been tutoring adult learners for the past three years, becoming the program manager two years ago. I led a semester long Beacon tutoring supplement course in Organic Chemistry that supported 20 junior college students. A Little Bit About Me...

I graduated from Duke University in 2009 with a triple-major in Biomedical Engineering, Economics, and Mathematics. I have tutored in Economics and spent four years mentoring middle-schools students in Engineering as a Techtronics Fellow.
I have never been someone who "just gets it" when it comes to math or science, and so I understand more than many people who pursued degrees in these subjects just how puzzling they can be. Math seems like it is filled with "tricks" that seem impossible to know unless you were born with some innate gift.
