Each child is different. On a one on one setting, it would be advantageous to allow the student some freedom so that their learning style leads to maximum learning. My goal is to teach the student to love self-learning so that the student appreciates learning without a tutor or teacher present. I've worked numerous jobs, none of which were fulfilling except the ones where I worked with children, particularly students who were troubled or had learning disabilities. I was a theatre major in college, so you might be quick to think I was a flake or someone who just coasted by through college, but I graduated with a 3.7 GPA, receiving some of my best scores in Logic and History, but my favorite subject was Shakespearean literature. I've worked with many children over the years in both a daycare and classroom setting, some easier than others, but I respected and enjoyed working with all of them.
