Poetry is one of my top subjects! I have a Bachelor of Arts in Creative Writing Poetry and Prose which includes extensive studies in American, British, World Poetry; Epic Poetry; Modern and Post-Modern Poetry; Emily Dickenson; poetic analysis and close reading.

I have taught 6th, 9th, 10th, 11th, and 12th grade students. I expect hard work and dedication. I have always been a very driven and accomplished student, so I feel that I should use my gift to teach others how to become great students. I recently finished my BS in English Literature at Towson University in Maryland. In the years I spent at Towson, I built a portfolio to include samples of my writing. I am interested in helping others build their writing skills to communicate creatively and effectively.
I enjoy helping students build on their strengths and overcome weaknesses in writing. I believe the key to a stimulating composition stems from the interest the writer has in the subject. Equally important is technical aspect of writing. Using a subject of interest to apply the rules of writing is the best way to shake writer's block and increase a student's comfort in English composition.
