It is also important to make sure that what they know is correct and that they are not confused or misunderstanding the material. After which, getting to know the individual style of learning for each student will insure that time is used efficiently and that the student is understanding and retaining the material being taught. So much of it is about instilling confidence in the student that he or she is intelligent and capable of mastering the subject.
