As a New York City Teaching Fellow, I have been faced with challenges of the utmost difficulty in the past two years. Teaching English to ninth and tenth graders in the Bronx proved to be most rewarding and fostered my love of English and academia in general. I was a teacher, baseball coach and full-time student, before being appointed to Dean of Students at the start of my second year teaching.
