I was taught at a early age to be the best I possibly could. I was taught to do my best. That has stuck with me all the way through college. I have earned a BS degree in Communication which has given me a knowledge of how to write effectively. I took an editing course which focused on the fundamentals of writing along with correct editing skills. I have had the opportunity to teach individuals in their home while serving a church mission for two years. Also within my church I have taught children the doctrinal basics of the church.

As a biochemistry student at University of the Pacific, I was required to know the science so well that even if a random person on the street asks me a question, I would be able to explain it to him/her in a way that they could understand. Every day during lunch I spent my half-hour helping my fellow high school seniors succeed, ultimately achieving a 4/5 on the AP exam and guiding others to similar grades. I believe anyone can teach a subject, having enough knowledge of a subject allows one to pass it on. However, I feel what many teachers do not do is teach students how to learn. It is in my belief that teaching students to learn enables them to think independently allowing them to become more creative rather than repetitive.
