I believe that encouraging, awakening curiosity and exploring all avenues of learning through hands on and academic exploration are the best tools for teaching. Finding a child’s learning style is crucial in order to address their academic needs. I am capable of providing the tools a child needs whether it is visual, verbal, kinetic, and intrapersonal or any other learning style. I feel it is very important to teach foundations and mastery especially in math and reading. With these fundamentals in place, education is truly attainable for any child.

I am certified in PreK-6 elementary education, English, and special education. While I spent the majority of my teaching career bolstering language skills, specifically reading comprehension and writing, I also taught algebra and biology to high school students as a resource room teacher.
