A Little Bit About Me...

Other than having a lot of patience, I don't have a very specific style of teaching. Everyone learns in a different manner, so I try to take this into account on a case by case basis. Some students learn through repetition, some through writing, others through listening. I always try to make things as fun as possible and enjoy feedback.
I recently graduated from Montclair State University in 2014 with a Bachelors of Science in Business Administration and a concentration in management. I have experience substitute teaching a wide variety of subjects at the elementary and high school level. I also have experience working with students with special needs such as ADD/ADHD, school phobia, and other behavioral issues. Upon my decision to return to college and obtain my BS degree, it was discovered that I possessed an uncanny, natural talent involving all aspects of the studies surrounding English. Reading, comprehension, symbolism, poetry, creative writing, poise, maturitym ,ect. After that placement exam, it was decided that I did not have to take any English courses, or, I would take more advanced courses. I did choose the latter. Throughout the last 10 years, I have helped my husband, brother, all of my children, etc. I have tutored them on how to write a well developed paper on their topic of choice, and have it read showing the expertise of the writer.
