A Little Bit About Me...

I have tutored as part of community service projects as well as in service-learning classes. During my class on the Latino Immigration Experience in the United States, I taught in an English as a Second Language teacher to high school freshmen and sophomores. I really enjoyed the experience of helping their teacher relate to her students by aiding in lesson planning and other aspects of the classroom experience.

During my high school years I would volunteer to help children through various charities and church. When I attended college I became an Early Childhood Education major and volunteered in preschool and elementary schools. During my Student Teaching in Des Plaines I was in complete control of a Kindergarten classroom and later a 2nd Grade class. After graduating I began working in a daycare where I created activities for children as young as 3 years old and activities and homework help for elementary students as old as 13.
