Since graduating from my undergraduate program in 2007, I have had a passion for teaching and learning. My first teaching experience was working in Camden, New Jersey. I served as an intern art teacher for at-risk first through third graders in an after school/summer school program. Shortly thereafter I started my Master's program, where I integrated my passion for teaching into my capstone project. I was given the opportunity to teach at-risk fifth through eighth graders basic life and business skills, which included everything from how to calculate simple interest to how to apply for college. I earned a bachelors degree in English Literature and a minor in Education. During these undergraduate years, I helped student teach regular English courses ranging from reading comprehension, essay writing, and literary analysis in various schools and grade levels. My grammatical skills are beyond proficient due to rigorous essay writing, research and literary, and also my extensive practice in writing poetry. I am a fantastic team worker, who doesn't mind any approach to teaching, as long as the students are learning and exceling.

I tutored math and science for Carl Albert State College from Sept. 1994 to May 1995. I tutored mostly in Algebra, but also in word processing, and anatomy and physiology. I tutored for Sheridan Community College in Sheridan WY from Jan. 2000 to July 2004. I tutored mostly higher maths, ranging from algebra to business calculus. I also tutored general biology, microbiology, general chemistry, and human biology. I also taught for Sheridan Community College from Aug 2001 to Aug 2008. I taught the pre-requisiete maths up to and including college algebra, as well as teaching human biology both in a traditional classroom and online.
