A Little Bit About Me...

Since my previous experience has been working with fairly non-traditional students, I would like to find a similar position. I have applied for several positions that have opened up in public schools and other agencies. I would like to see if I could work with younger children and adults and or with special needs students. Another area of interest would be teaching upper level mathematics and science courses in a small town school. Another interest, that I have is to teach developmental mathematics and other skills in college. I am also interested in teaching in a correctional facility as well. Being a big sister has always been my favorite job; therefore, I have always sought out opportunities to mentor. I believe that each child is unique and learns at his or her own pace, and in her or his own special way. Each person understands concepts differently, and I believe that, to be effective, a teacher must discover from what angle to approach a lesson, for the student's optimum ability to absorb the information.
