A Little Bit About Me...

I am a strong believer in teaching through examples and letting students try to apply the knowledge I have taught them at various smaller stages, then apply it to the bigger picture. I love working with kids, and I think that with patience, understanding, and time, all students are capable of reaching their potential.
As an undergraduate, I attended Purdue University and worked as a teaching assistant where I ran my own lab, instructing students for one of their core management courses. In my junior year, I was asked to apply to an invitation-only program for an an accelerated MBA program only for exceptional students. I am now entering my final year of this program and will graduate in 2011 with a BS in Business Management and a Masters degree in Business Administration. The graduate program is team focused and emphasizes working with and teaching diverse groups of people.

I earned my Bachelor of Arts in Accounting with a minor in Economics and plan to continue my education into a Masters of Science in Accountancy program. During my tenure as a student, I had the opportunity to work four years in the college's Academic Resource Center as a writing consultant where I assisted students to improve their writing ability and to understand that writing should be look at the process rather than attempt to "correct" each paper. In addition being a writing consultant, I also acted as a student assistant for the center as well. My education and experience has led me all over the world providing companies with my skills as an analyst and consultant. After earning my BAs in English and History, I wanted to explore the world. I taught English in Korea, Italy, and finally China. I taught in several settings including classroom, individual tutoring, business meetings, and summer camp. My undergraduate education was focused in English and History. I am currently earning my masters degree in Business Administration.
I adapt to the student. In my experience with several students is that they all need a different approach. I like to use examples to explain things to my students for example a video game or sports. I am a patient teacher but demand all of a student's attention.
