I teach writing / grammar students based on their level of understanding vocabulary. Learning how to figure out the meaning of vocabulary words is key in successful writing. Word origin and grammar usuage is how a student builds their writing skills! Every child can learn, but they don't all learn the same way

I have been teaching for over 10 years. I am currently a second grade teacher. I tutor during the summers and have students of all ages, including middle school and high school. I believe all children can learn. It takes a special teacher to find out how a child learns and create lessons to engage that learning style. What works for one student doesn't always work for every student. I am a loving and positive teacher by nature. My comments on tutoring Creative Writing : I took a few creative writing classes in high school and college. I can help with short stories, poems, etc. I can teach to write or help study.

I have tutored many people in English Composition I and II, from community colleges to major universities. I work with (and have experience with) students as early as 5th grade. I cover all subjects related to Language Arts, Creative Writing, Composition and Journalism. I do qualify for my teaching certificate in Oklahoma to teach Language Arts at any grade level. I love working with students who need the most help. I am patient, kind, and humorous (when possible). It does not matter if I have to explain the same things a million times over, so long as the student grasps the information. I can tutor students 1-3 times a week for 2-3 hours/session or I can proofread/edit a paper if that is all that is needed. Junior in high school at Edmond North. I help peers of mine with help that they may need. I am in Pre-Ap Spanish IV, and will be continuing my studies to earn my minor in Spanish. I am also in school, so my mind is fresh off what I am also being taught. I have straight A's with one or two B's occasionally. I am in NHS- National Honor Society and I strive to do my best.

Creative Writing is one of my top subjects! I have experience with creative writing. I have a book that will be published within a few months so I feel confident in my abilities as a writer.

Lots of practices. Perhaps giving the students a theme and having them write about it. Or for Japanese, practicing writing in Kanji.

A Little Bit About Me...

I believe that all students learn differently and should be treated as so; with this being said i believe that each student should work at their own pace and should be helped to find strategies that help them learn.
I currently have a bachelors degree in sociology with a minor in elementary education. During the past 4 years and working in the early childhood education industry I realized that many teachers were not getting the proper training that they needed to receive to help the children that they are serving. Once I realized this I decided to work on my Master's degree in Early Childhood Education in hopes that i could be an Early Childhood College Professor and teach students the ins and outs of the early childhood industry.
