My comments on tutoring German : After learning German all through grade and highschool I then spent a semester in Freiburg, Germany where I breathed, ate and slept all things German. Since then I have been back several times and continue my passion for the language and culture.

I truly believe conversation is the best way to learn a new language. There are many people who study grammer and vocabulary on paper for years, but when they are finally put in a real situation in which they are required to speak the language, all of their training fails them because they never did the most basic and important thing, which is to practice making the sounds with your mouth, practice saying the new words, practice actually using the new grammer structures.
I have always had a strong passion for languages and perhaps because of this have done extensive traveling. I have lived in several countries and speak several languages. In my adventures I have found time and again that the easiest, most effortless and fastest way to learn a language is to immerse oneself in that culture. Why? I lived and worked in Germany for a full year, which helped me reach a level of fluency in the language. During my year there, I tutored young adults in German once a week. I have a Marketing BS as well as over 15 hours in accounting and German. Professionally, I have done over 18 years of sales training. In addition, I've been a guest lecturer at Indiana University Northwest and a consultant to the Gary Area Career Center and past member for the Hoosiers for Higher Education. I prefer to tutor math but can tutor other subjects as well.
