My teaching style is different from most tutors. I like to tutor like a teacher. I give out study guides, quizzes, tests, checkpoints, and some small projects. I keep track of the students grade. I do not provide supplies. I require the student to have their coloring supplies, scissors, and other basic supplies. I let the parent have the say in what we learn about. I need to know what the child is learning about and what they need help with. I do need my clients to set up appointments in advanced so i may plan my schedule. I do specialize in Elementary students. I enjoy this age level of kids!

Graduated from wright state university in 1993 with a bachelors of science degree in mechanical engineering. I have worked the past 16 years in the automotive industry mainly as a manufacturing supervisor. Also, since high school have volunteered abd served on 2 fire departments as a firefighter and emergency medical technician. I enjoy teaching young adults the education and work experiences I have obtained the past 20 years.

I have a Bachelor's Degree in General Studies, which simply means that I couldn't decide between the other two areas of study I was considering: Early Childhood Education and History. I home schooled my youngest brother from the time he was in the sixth grade until he finished high school, so I have fairly broad experience in regards to subjects. My very first teaching experience happened during graduate school, as a second grade teacher. Here, I learned how to implement lesson plans according to state guidelines as well as student's focus. After completing grad school, I was a pre-k teacher for 2 years. I learned how to really teach through play, while considering the children developmental appropriate age.
