I have 2 Years of teaching First Aid/ CPR/ AED at the American Red Cross. I also have 1 quarter of tutoring physics at Washington State Community College. I also instruct Pet CPR/First Aid for the American Red Cross. This is especially fulfilling when watching children learn that there is something they can do to help save their injured or sick pet. Though, it has taken me many years to complete my degree, I believe this proves that persistance and perseverance pays off in the end, and that one is never too old to learn. I have a degree in both Elementary and Special Education with a concentration in History. In the past nine years, I have taught Kindergarten for seven years and fifth grade for two years. I have taught Summer School in Math and Reading. I have tutored Junior High and High School students in Math, Science, History, and English. I have a passion for teaching. While attaining my genetics degree at Ohio State, I worked at the OSU Chimpanzee Center. After graduating, I started working for the Department of Agriculture in the Weights and Measures division. It was my job to try to "trick" the scales before they could become available for commercial use. I moved back home to Coshocton when I got married. I quickly found a job teaching adults within our county's GED program. I easily became the math and science "guru" with my background and began getting my Masters in Education from Muskingum University.
