I own my own science consulting firm and like to dedicate a certain percentage of my time to education and public outreach projects including teaching, mentoring, and tutoring. I have taught high school and college students on and off since 1986 and have had several students go on to VERY successful careers, perhaps one of the best ways to evaluate ones ability as a teacher. I was a teacher for a year in the 2007-2008 school year. I taught grades 3-5 and most of my students were labeled with Specific Learning Disabilities. For the past two years I have worked as a Speech and Language therapist between two special centers for students with Emotional Behavior Disorders.
