As a SUNY graduate, I have earned a BS in Biology/chemistry, which has enabled me to gain an understanding in many areas of math and science. In addition, I have learned extensive grammatical skills due to writing research papers and laboratory reports, along with essays in many various areas of study. A Little Bit About Me...

During my undergraduate studies, I was involved in various tutoring/mentoring organizations on campus. I served as a mentor for local area children ages 8-14 as part of an after-school "big buddy" program. During my junior and senior years, I tutored newer students in math, science, and engineering courses. Additionally, I served as a teaching assistant for an upper-level engineering course where I was involved in activities such as answering students' questions regarding course materials, and grading assignments and providing constructive feedback. I am currently working on completing a Masters degree part-time, and would like to pursue a career in teaching.

I am comfortable teaching students in high school or college as well as non-traditional college students. I can easily work with students who struggle or with students who excel. The main point of my teaching is for the student to make progress. My lessons require participation and activity by the student with guidance and leadership from me.
More than 1,000 students have been enrolled in my math classes over the past 5 years. I have worked with at least 100 students during 1:1 help sessions or professional tutoring.
