In general, I like to assist the student visually and with real-life examples of how subjects such as chemistry, physics, and math can be applied to everyday life. My goal is to make learning fun not by lecturing, but encouraging the student to get involved and ask questions. Situations do arise when it is beneficial to lecture and let the student "soak up" knowledge through diagrams and examples on the board. In other words, I combine "popular, upbeat, and friendly" with "engrossing, unique and interesting."
