I believe that children are born smart. Some of them have special learning challenges and some have been taught to believe that they are not smart. By treating children as though they are intelligent and providing encouragement and learning opportunities, I have seen children grow and progress in almost astonishing ways. As a Weber State graduate, I majored in Zoology and minored in Chemistry. Even though science has always been a passion of mine, I am very knowledgeable in math. I really enjoy teaching because I am passionate about the things that I am teaching and like to encourage passion for learning in others.
