A Little Bit About Me...

I have worked in the automotive industry from 1995-2007. In 2007, I took a buyout from Ford in order to stay home full time with my two children. I went back to Ford Motor Co. in 2013, working part-time. My Bachelor's Degree is from University of Michigan in Electrical Engineering. My main focus is tutoring math. I love doing math and want others to learn to love it to and appreciate math for what it can do for them! Math is exercise for the brain, it makes us all work better if we can understand it better!

Never stop pushing yourself to learn

I have taught a large array of children and adults, anywhere from a 2nd grader struggling with reading to adult Burmese refugees. I have the patience and flexibility to successfully work with anyone. I started tutoring when I was around the age of 13. I taught a young Korean girl English, where I would have to create my own lesson plans. While I attended Okemos high school, I partook in volunteering experiences that dealt with tutoring. For two years, I was placed at an elementary school where I would tutor 1st-5th graders biweekly with anything from basic math to practice with reading. Looking to get your student to catch up during the summer?

I am a recently graduated IB/AP student. I have been a volunteer tutor almost everyday for the past four years and have tutored elementary, middle and high school students, even though I prefer elementary.
