I am a Teen Librarian at the KDL Cascade Library. I have my undergraduate degree in English/Creative Writing from Hope College in Holland, MI; I earned my Masters in Library Science from Wayne State University in Detroit, MI. I recently graduated from a private college in Illinois. I was attending in hopes of receiving my Bachelors in Secondary English Education. Due to life events I had to graduate early without the full completion of this degree. I prefer a style that empowers the students to take ownership of their work so they will become better thinkers and writers. I prefer discussion-based learning opposed to "lecture-style" teaching where I can interact freely with the student as a peer-tutor.
