As someone who has loved reading and books since a young age, I knew exactly what I wanted to do with my life: A career as a writer and a reading teacher. I obtained an AA Degree in Journalism (writing) and a BA Degree in Communications (reading/writing) with emphasis in PR and Journalism. I currently work as the Librarian of an elementary-school library part-time in the mornings/early afternoons. I received a BA in both English and Elem Education at Assumption College in Worcester MA. This has allowed me to qualify teaching at the Elem level, and also teaching English at the jr high and highschool level.I became a substitite for Gilford High right out of college. I worked as an eighth grade long term substitute for Math, Science and Social Studies for 5 months. Upon the teacher returning, I then worked as a 7th grade paraprofessional until we moved to Bakersfield, where I now have taught secod grade for the past two years at Carden School.I have worked with many different grade levels. My desire to teach stems from my hopeful view of youth.
