Teacher with gentle touch - Very good at explaining new subj

I try to find the teaching style that is going to work for the student. Are they visual? Do they need to touch to learn? Finding out how to teach them and then helping them learn skills for independent study are just as important as the material.

It seemed like a logical choice for a part-time job as I had been helping friends with homework for almost as long as I could remember.
