As a recent graduate from Westminster College, I have earned a BA in History and my PA teaching certificate for 7-12 in Social Studies. I have had experience in teaching grades 9-12 and tutoring students in grade 10 in subjects other than social studies such as science, math, and spanish. I have also volunteered to teach in my church's relgious education program to 5th grade students and plan on teaching 4th grade next year. This particular position interests me because I struggled with math through middle school and understand the frustration it can create for a student. Mathematics is now my strongest subject and I chose the profession of accounting to utilize those strengths. During my time at college, I helped other students with their studies in math and business, specifically statistics and quantitative analysis. Although this teaching experience was with college level students, I have held a summer job working with 8-12 year olds for the past four years.
