I have a love for learning and teaching!

I have been teaching special education for six years. I taught special education to kindergarten through third grade in a Montessori school for four years. I have experience in teaching students with disabilities in reading, writing, and math. Many of my students have also been diagnosed with ADHD/ADD, autism, learning disabilities, and emotional impairments. I am currently teaching my second year at a center-based school for autism. In my teaching career, I have used a variety of hands-on material and visuals. I am also a native German speaker. I grew up in Northern Germany and I am therefore familiar with the German culture as a child as well as an adult.

My comments on tutoring Dyslexia : My best friend in middle school had dyslexia and I helped her with her school work.

I am a high school honor roll student. My strong points are English, grammar,phonics,reading,writing,science,history. In addition, when the learning is fun, the student is more motivated to pay attention to and show interest in the material.
