A Little Bit About Me...

I completed my Master's Degree in Reading Education and am state certified as a Reading Specialist K-12. Because of my extensive training in this area I can extend upon classroom teaching and work collaboratively to use research based methods to improve instruction. I have studied various forms of assessment, as well as, collected data that can help improve current and future English Language Arts programs. I am currently a tutor with Saginaw Valley State University's Reading Clinic where I assess students, create individualized lesson plans and tutor students of varying abilities and ages twice a week. I have been working within this program for the last two years. I have given professional development and taught graduate courses in Reading Instruction with SVSU as well.
