I enjoy teaching and there is no greater reward for a tutor than to share knowledge to others and to see students grow in knowledge and confidence. I like to make learning as fun and with as little stress as possible. The environment should be conducive to learning. I have held informal teaching positions throughout my entire life. I have tutored everything from pre-algebra to Calculus to Piano. I'm currently employed as an after school tutor for middle school students, 6th grade to 8th, and independently tutor on Saturdays.
My style is relaxed and informal, but effective. School already provides enough structure, and with a relaxed mind, information can be processed more easily. 1 hour sessions multiple times a week is the best way for the information to sink in.

A Little Bit About Me...

Since my previous experience has been working with fairly non-traditional students, I would like to find a similar position. I have applied for several positions that have opened up in public schools and other agencies. I would like to see if I could work with younger children and adults and or with special needs students. Another area of interest would be teaching upper level mathematics and science courses in a small town school.
