I own the Queens'Quarters in Baldwyn, Ms. I am a member of the chamber for our city.My mother taught for 25 years before she retired and I learned many of my skills from her besides earning a Masters degree from University of Mississippi, {Ole Miss}. I believe children learn by experiences and examples. Making it relevant and interesting makes them to want to learn. They begin to understand the purpose for learning the material. Children have different learning styles and every child doesn't learn at the same rate. Teachers must realize this when planning lessons. Students need to know that to have the basics such as a home, a car and food for their family, they need an education. Kids don't think about the future and how their decisions will determine the rest of their lives. By helping them to set goals for themselves, they will strive to do their best and begin to realize that they can learn.

Take the child's level and increase them higher. Using whatever mode necessary. Hands on exsperience is usually the best. Various types of learning styles are incorporated. Modivation is very important. Self esteem is very important. The final outcome of a educated student is a well rounded and sucessful person.
