I prefer a very laid back, informal environment when I teach. I can adapt very easily, and only require that my students respect me and try their best. I can help them with the rest I have tutored over 50 children and teens, ages 3-14, in various subjects. With my youngest students, I have helped them improve their reading comprehension and ability markedly. My older students have been teens preparing for college, and as I have done extremely well on my SATs and ACT (scores can be supplied upon request), I have been able to help them improve in that field as well.

I have worked with adults. I prefer a one on one direct instruction and mentoring, keeping everything simple and fun. I am not sure how well I would be with children; I have none of my own and have not spent much time with my nephews and nieces. I have worked with a few of my friends children, helping them understand algebra, showing them how simple it really is and how it can be fun. As a engineer I have been training operators in everything form SPC to troubleshooting for 30 years. I am a volunteer tutor for Adult ESL & GED for the Literacy Council of Williamson County since June 2009.

I worked as Teaching assistant, Grader and University online teaching program website maintenance, through which teaching material/instructions were passed on to students apart from grades, homework submissions,team and individual progress monitor. Subjects which I tutored were Algebra, Calculus, Trignometry, physics, engineering mechanics, engineering math packages(like math lab, mathcad), engineering drawings(Pro/E), Autocad. My style of teaching is interactive one, where I interactive with students and try to know their way of learning, as every student has different needs, requirements, and then try to teach them according their style. I give emphasis on building basics and strengthening them in their core subjects, which will help them to excel their respective fields.

I have a masters degree in engineering. My study in college and graduate school involved extensive Math and Physics. During my graduate school I taught programming to sophomore students. I enjoy explaining technical concepts to students. I quite like the challenge of logically explaining difficult science concepts to students. I am very patient and try calmly to find a way to convincingly explain my point. I believe the key is to listen to the student and guage how much he/she is following and build on it. The idea is to gradually make the student 'discover' it, not merely force it on him/her. During my graduate school at The University of Texas at Austin, I have worked for 3 semesters as a teaching assistant for sophomore programming class. My work involved 3 hours of teaching a week, designing lab assignments and 12 hours of office hours a week to help/tutor students with assignments.
