I graduated from Fitchburg State University in 2009 with a Bachelor’s of Science in English and Professional Writing. I went on to become a staff writer for the Lowell Sun, a daily print publication in Lowell, Massachusetts. When I was laid off due to budget cuts, I wrote freelance for several entertainment and political publications. I also worked for an independent publishing company as a manuscript reviewer for a year. Being an undergraduate at WPI and haven taken several Advanced Placement classes in areas outside of math and science, I consider myself a very well rounded student. I was also strongly considered for a MASH program here at the University, or "Math and Science Help", as a Section Leader/Tutor. Going through a lower-middle class urban high school, I was known as that "smart kid" and would often led study groups outside of class to prepare for tests.
I have struggled with the areas I am not proficient in, so I understand what it is to be frustrated and confused. My teaching style is presenting various approaches to the same idea, in hopes that at least one will click, and better yet, each approach with solidify an idea or concept that much more.
