Creative Learning

I have always tutored informally, whether fellow classmates or nieces and nephews. My formal teaching career began as a Teaching assistant at Johns Hopkins University for a field ecology class. I continued as a guest lecturer at various universities and seminars relating to field ecology and oil spill clean-up. I have 20 years experience in field environmental remediations now, that is cleaning up oil spills. I have taught various seminars and presented academic papers at such institutions as Battelle. I've always believed that children learn by doing. I also believe that children learn differently from one another and a teacher should be able to accommodate the different learning styles of her or his students.
