have a BA and teaching degree. I can teach social Studies, English Grammar, reading, Italian Latin and Spanish. I have taught 7th and 8th graders. I prefer teaching at the Warren, public library and most interested in helping students to learn and to make progress kn language course, Spanish, Italian or Spanish. Positive Experienced Tutor

My approach to teaching is more of a "why" approach. It is more important for students to know why something is or works rather than just how. This approach works well for middle and high school students. It allows students not only to understand the ideas taught but to apply them to other areas as well. I also like to use visual aids as well as conversation. I have found that many of us vary widely in learning styles. Some are visual learners, others are audio learners, and still others are a combination. I work well one-on-one but also enjoy small groups. As a Hiram College student I feel I have gained a great deal of knowledge through a combination of learning from excellent instructors and having a variety of teaching experiences. I student taught tenth grade for a semester during my senior year of college at West Geauga High School. This experience was very valuable and prepared me for working with students in a variety of ways.
