I try to work at a pace that is comfortable for the student and also meets the academic requirements for their program. I have a lot of patience and encourage students to try even when they are not familiar or comfortable with a subject. The first step is always the hardest. My teaching style.... depends on the day, depends on the students, depends on the topic. One minute I can be dancing around the room and the next we're having a more serious discussion. My expectations are very high and I always push my students to do "just a bit better" than they think they can at that moment. I graduated from syracuse university in violin performance. I been playing with symphony orchestras in the upstate area, such as Syracuse Symphony, Binghamton Philharmonic, Utica Symphony, Tri-cities Opera.
