A Little Bit About Me...

I have two bachelors degrees, however, I believe it is my experience teaching children that has helped me develop a good sense on how to approaching teaching scenarios. I have years of experience teaching children in academics, music, and dramatic arts, as well as coaching basketball and teaching golf at the professional level.
Each child is different. I always try to notice and acknowledge what benefits each student, as I think this applies to all forms of teaching from academics to athletics. A Little Bit About Me...

When I substitute teach, there is not always a need to have to teach something but I am very happy when that times comes. I have had the opportunity to teach anywhere from 6th grade students learning about adverbs to high school students learning about trigonometric functions. I believe that each person is an individual and as such needs personalized help. Not everyone learns as the same rate,but given time and the proper reinforcement will learn. Students much be allowed to have a certain freedom to choose likes and strengths as well as weaknesses. We all have them! If the teacher can show the relevance to a student's life then the student will understand the "why" for learning. One on one as well as equal treatment will bring results.
