While I was in high school, I took honors courses and graduated with a 4.0 GPA. I tutored an 8th grade-9th grade boy in TCAPS preparation and helped him complete homework in Math (pre-algebra, algebra, and pre-geometry), Science (biology), and English. The teaching style that brings the best success I've found is centered on two points. First of all, it is based on listening, which means getting the student to talk.
