I understand the math and science are often difficult for students to comprehend. Many teenagers and young adults feel like they will never use this knowledge in "real life" applications. Thus, when teaching this subjects, I try to draw parallels to real life applications. Often students are surprised to learn that science and math is all around them. I feel that this teaching strategy helps the student understand the applications of science and math instead of simply memorizing the formulas, structures, etc.
