My comments on tutoring Testing Skills : I have a PhD in Educational Leadership, a master's in English, and have taught at a four-year university and a two-year college. I have also worked with HS students in college preparation skills.

Tutoring for Life

I'm 24 and mother of a 1 year old (he may be with me while tutoring). I'm laid back and believe there is a natural process that must take place for us to learn and absorb new material. I love working with children and young adults. My challenge as a tutor is to take something that is difficult and make it fun and understandable. Too often students look at teachers or adults as enemies, and I try to take a very laid-back, conversational approach when tutoring.
