I also play drums and lead drumming circles. I am a motivational speaker and writer, my last book being motivational in nature.I have taught creative writing as an adjunct back East at the junior college level.

A Little Bit About Me...

Because I had such a hard time learning and focusing in a regimented, institutional-type learning setting in school, and yet was a brilliant child, I teach extremely well in a relational more relaxed approach. Rather than "shove information down throats" I am interested in each individual, and to get to know their personality and learning style. I have found that when there is relationship and trust between the mentor and the student, not only does the student learn the information more effectively, but as the mentor, I am able to teach and speak more clearly. Rather than lecturing or preaching at them about what I think life should be like for them, I take them hiking, out to eat, to movies etc.
