Math was never an issue for me, I was always ahead of the curve in my math scores, and when I got the chance to relate that math ability to economics, it all made sense. Economics is second-nature to me. Economics puts calculus into real-world situations. Breezed through it in high school and first couple years of college, realized it would be an excellent thing for me to major in. Economics is all about logic, and being a logical person, economics always came easy. When you think logically, you are thinking economically. I have found that the advanced material can be presented in a simple manner that can make even the most difficult of concepts understandable. I have found that once a student understands the concept, the rest follows. I typically will not go to another topic until the current one is understood. In terms of teaching math, my style incorporates less use of a calculator and more "thinking".
