My comments on tutoring Creative Writing : One of my favorite genres of writing, personally, and to teach.

As a teacher of diversified classrooms for 15 years, I am well versed in using the methodologies of cooperative learning, direct instruction, thematic teaching, individual accommodation, and differentiated instruction. I foster learning strengths in both group and individual work connected to real world connections, self confidence, social interaction, study skills, character building and problem solving skills. I completed my MA in Library and Information Science with the intent of working in reference assisting in research and scholarship. I also have two bachelor degrees; a BA in History and a BA in the Comparative Study of Religion. My education has enabled me to perfect skills in writing. I am also experienced with various citation styles. I have tutored students at various levels of learning and in a wide range of subjects. Knowledge is not something to be horded. I think we each have a responsibility to share what we know. I love to help people understand. I prefer to teach by lecturing,but I realize that individuals learn subjects individual ways, and thus as a tutor my task is to be clear and patient.
