All children can succeed in school given the right tools; just because they do not get the idea from one method does not mean that they won't get it from a different method. As part of my undergraduate degree I taught English to adults. I taught English in Korea for one year before enrolling in my Masters of Education program. During the program I had two student teacher placements. My first placement was in a middle school mathematics class and my second placement was in a self-contained 5th grade classroom.
