A Little Bit About Me...

My teaching career began at Lyndon State College in Vermont. During my time at Lyndon, I was able to participate in many internships. Lyndon put me into the school systems/districts as early as my sophomore year. While obtaining my education degree, I also became very interested in psychology due to the nature of some of my students. Along with Education, I also obtained a Liberal Studies degree with a concentration in Psychology. I graduated Lyndon with the "Most Outstanding Senior" Award in the Education department. After graduation I received a job teaching sixth grade. I love learning and so while teaching I enrolled at the University of New England to work towards my Masters degree in Education. Teaching is a facilitating process. I believe it is my job to aide the student in developing a more solid understanding of the coursework in front of them. This may involve explaining the same concept to the child in a variety of ways to help them understand. The child may also just require a patient instructor who is willing to keep practicing until they have reached the mastery stage of learning.
