I am enrolled in the masters program at western kentucky university. Looking to pursue my masters in Arts Adult Education I currently substitute teach for the City of Bowling Green, KY I have been a columist for an interenet magazine I also have experience in being an editor for a company newsletter
I love mentoring and teaching to not only children but adults. Everyone has the ability to learn. As a teacher you have to discern the different learning styles from the students and encourage them to apply their individual learning styles to the tasks at hand. I believe that students best learn from doing. My role as a tutor is not just to provide answers, but to facilitate and encourage learning. However I am also able to provide a knowledge base in a number of subjects to help answer questions the student may be struggling with. I am comfortable working with children of all ages to help them meet their full learning potential as students.
As a graduate of a small liberal arts college, I have spent many hours volunteering to help tutor my classmates in both biology and the humanities. I hold a bachelor's degree in biology.
